The EPA Headquarters professionals union, alone and in cooperation with sister unions across EPA and at headquarters, was active on many issues that affected terms and conditions of employment, but the overarching issue was the ability of environmental professionals to do their work in conformity with the Civil Service oath of office and with the highest degree of professional ethics, free from undue political pressure.
